The IC-FR5100/FR6100 is Icom's first digital capable repeater. By increasing existing channel capacity, the repeater can work in both analogue and digital mode which offers an easy, cost effective way for organisations to migrate from an analogue to a digital system. The increase in channel capacity also means that one channel can be used for voice and one for data communication configuration.
