The ATEX version of the IC-F51/F61 not only conforms to the 94/9/EC ATEX Directive but is also fully waterproof radio. The radio meets the requirements for a tough, waterproof communications tool for use in hazardous areas such as oil rigs, petro-chemical warehouses or any other explosive environments where flammable gases or liquids are used.
